In the Warrington Group we have a Masonic Fellowship, which is open to retired brethren and their wives, widows and retired wives of working brethren and holds a range of interesting lunches, meetings and excursions throughout the year.

There is also the Winmarleigh Luncheon Club, which is run for the benefit of the widows of former brethren and meets for lunch on a monthly basis.

We have a large and well furnished Masonic hall in Winmarleigh Street with two elegant dining rooms catering for up to 150 people each, a licensed bar and comfortable lounging areas. There is disabled access and the building is air-conditioned  throughout. It can be hired for weddings, dinner dances and other formal or informal occasions and is licensed to hold wedding ceremonies. Email them or telephone them on 01925 651468. Food service at the hall is to the highest standard and is rated as a 5 star catering establishment by the Department of the Environment Food Hygiene Inspectors in their 'Scoresonthedoors' scheme. Warrington Borough Council's Trading Standards Food/Health Safety Manager has also awarded it the Warrington Food Award with Distinction

Welcome to the Warrington Group website

The Warrington Group is an association of Masonic lodges and chapters which meets at Winmarleigh House in the centre of Warrington. Its purpose is to provide information, co-ordination and social activities to its members.

We also hope that through these pages non-Masons can learn a little about Freemasonry in Warrington, its history and present day activities and will feel free to contact us about any aspect of Freemasonry. Anyone thinking of joining can obtain more information from our Group Membership Officer.

Our chairman's welcome contains a useful short history of Freemasonry in Warrington and there is a "What is Freemasonry?" page which may answer any immediate questions.

This site contains useful information about group activities, as well as the meeting dates of lodges, chapters and other Masonic orders. There is a calendar of current and recent social events taking place at the hall and information about our charitable activities.

One of the primary aims of Freemasonry is to promote charitable giving among its members and amongst the many charities and organisations assisted during the last year are J-U-M-P, St Rocco’s Hospice and The Alzheimer’s Society and details of some of our other fundraising events can be found in the group news section.
